‘iCarly’ Scores 7.4 Million Total Viewers
Nickelodeon’s iCarly drew 7.4 million total viewers with a new special episode “iOMG,” which also nabbed the network basic cable’s top spot for the week with viewers P2+. iCarly “iOMG” was also basic cable’s #1 telecast on all television with kids and tweens for the week, averaging 3.5 million K2-11(+153% over last year), 2.6 million K6-11 (+173%) and 2.6 million T9-14 (+231%).
ESPN Connects With 4.7 Million Viewers For Yanks-Sox
The New York Yankees-Boston Red Sox rivalry generated big ratings. ESPN Sunday Night Baseball coverage on April 10 scored a 3.4 rating and 4.697 million viewers, according to Nielsen data. That was the highest-rated and most-viewed Major League Baseball game since Yanks-Bosox notched a 3.5 rating and 4.698 million watchers on Aug. 9, 2009.
‘Deadliest Catch’ Returns in Top Form
The special two hour 9 p.m. season premiere of Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, earned a 2.89 HH / 2.65 Adults 25-54 AA%, delivering over 4.37 million viewers. Deadliest Catch was the #1 primetime cable telecast among HH, total viewers, Adults 18+, Adults/Men/Women 25-54 and Adults/Men/Women 18-49.
E!’s ‘Khloe & Lamar’ Debut Draws Strong Ratings
The latest installment of the “Life and Times of The Kardashians” premiered well. Khloe & Lamar drew almost 2.6 million total viewers and earned a 1.93 household rating. The premiere also posted a 3.52 rating with Women 18-34. These numbers are on par with the first and second season premieres of Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami.
History Continues Its Ratings Success With Debut of ‘Mounted in Alaska’
History’s series opener of Mounted in Alaska yielded strong ratings for the network and set a new record, among all key demos, as History’s best-ever original series launch on a Thursday night. The series premiere earned 2.3 million total viewers, 1.4 million Adults 18-49 and 1.3 million Adults 25-54, according to the Nielsen Company.
‘Merlin’ Finale Enchants 1.87 Million Total Viewers
The season three finale of Merlin delivered ratings magic, captivating the highest household rating (1.3 HH Rating) and total viewers (1.87 million) since premiering in April 2010. The episode also delivered a season-high 788,000 Adults 25-54 and 621,000 Adults 18-49. Compared to the previous week, Merlin soared +31% among total viewers and +30% in Adults 18-49.
‘River Monsters’ Catches 1.6 Million Viewers in Third Season Premiere
Biologist and extreme angler Jeremy Wade returned for a new season of River Monsters Sunday night, snaring more than 1.6 million viewers and a 1.2 HH rating (up +9% vs. the season two average). The season opener also delivered 836K P18-49, 766K P25-54 and 482K M18-49, helping Animal Planet rank among the top 10 ad-supported cable networks in the 10 p.m. hour.
‘Toya: A Family Affair’ Ratings — 1.5M Viewers!
The premiere of Toya: A Family Affair on BET was viewed by 1.5 million viewers and 1.1 million households, according to the Nielsen Company. The premiere is BET’s #1 returning series premiere to date for this season. New episodes of Toya: A Family Affair air Tuesdays at 10pm on BET.
