My View from the cubicle: July 11, 2011
Surviving the Cut, Discovery, op/ 9p Central-Last night I didn’t know what to watch. As I was surfing channels I got stuck on USA network and Discovery. Not wanting to just watch wrestling, err sports entertainment I opted for Discovery channel. I caught the Navy Special Warfare Combatant Craft Crewmen episode of Surviving the Cut.
Holy crap, this is an intense show! I’m glad I took a pass on WWE and watched this! For a split second, I felt bad for the recruits…but then realized they’re pushed so hard because instructors want to weed the weaker recruits out and only work with the best. We want the best defending our nation…makes sense.
I definitely recommend Surviving the Cut. I like the inside look at training and the extremes the recruits go through. It’s an intense look at what goes into training our armed forces and special forces. My wife commented last night that I should take on something like that for my next race/ challenge. I wouldn’t survive. I give credit where it’s due…these guys are machines!
I have a lot of respect for them and I admire their dedication. I appreciate how hard they work…give it a chance and I think you’ll feel the same way!
Thanks for checking out my view from the cubicle! Until next time, happy viewing!
