What We’re Watching Wednesdays!

It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time to check in with some of my fellow Viamedia friends from around the company for What We’re Watching Wednesdays !

Let’s see what folks are watching!

Ian Powdrill, Marketing & Research Specialist, Lexington

To keep informed of current events without ever getting bored, I have to watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart! Even when I don’t catch it daily, and have already heard the news elsewhere, there’s just no one like him that can “twice bake” the same factual information and repackage it into an irreverent op-ed….that snarky Stewart!

For my vicarious dose of culture and adventure, I love watching Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern on the Travel Channel, Storm Chasers (those guys are nuts!!), and of course Deadliest Catch on Discovery.

When needing to be reminded of the capabilities of the human race, I always get inspiration from Modern Marvels on History, Build it Bigger and How It’s Made on Science.

Bridget Pierce, ASC, Detroit

Now that Spring has sprung, you can most often find me tuning to in Fox Sports Detroit to watch the Detroit Tigers.  GO TIGERS!!!

Two of my favorite programs, which are currently between seasons, are Sons of Anarchy on FX and Rizzoli & Isles on TNT.

When I’m bored and channel flipping, I usually gravitate to TNT and USA for some Law & Order: SVU.   Finally, my newest guilty pleasure program looks like it’s going to be Khloe & Lamar on E!

Joe Schwenger, Client Services Specialist, Lexington

Sports consumes a ton of my TV time.  It is baseball season, so my life is consumed by Yankee games and just baseball in general.  My son and I will try to watch a piece of every Yankee game, as well as NASCAR, and golf (when Tiger is playing anyway).

I am also a sucker for anything on Discovery, History, and A&E.  I was excited about the premier of Deadliest Catch last night on Discovery as well as new Mythbusters episodes. Tonight there is a new episode called Blue Ice.

I am hooked on Pawn Stars and Storage Wars.  I guess I want to see what my old junk is worth.  Basically anything Thom Beers produces (Deadliest Catch, Lobstermen, Ice Road Truckers, Ax Men, Storage Wars, Swords) is a thumbs up from me.  His new show COAL on SPIKE is really interesting for me as a transplant to coal country.

My wife is excited about the new season of Drop Dead Diva starting this week.  And our favorite show is Sons of Anarchy, but that won’t start again until September.

Jeff Lerner, Local Sales Manager, Naperville

Here are some of the shows I like watching…

I catch Two & a Half  Men on FX- always good for a laugh.

I watch Sports Center on ESPN and Fox News in the morning to get up to speed.

Pawn StarsAmerican Pickers and Storage Wars always keep me hooked!

I also like to watch Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN.

When I’m channel surfing I tend to pick something on Comedy Central or the History Channel.

Lastly, I am a huge fan of Diners, Drive-ins & Dives on Food Network!

So there’s some of what we’re watching! Thanks for the response, keep the entries coming! See you next Wednesday for the next installment of “What We’re Watching Wednesdays!”
